The best beach is about 300 km south of Oaxaca. Puerto Escondido is a great beach that is famous for its wind sailing opportunities, swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling and boating.

The world famous area of Acapulco is another great destination for your next trip to Mexico. This area features beaches, crazy nightlife, boutiques and the best restaurants. Acapulco  was founded by the Nahua Indians who were the predecessors of the Aztecs. This historical city was once a trading post to Cortes and other colonialists. There are hundreds of cultural attractions and monuments that you can visit.


Cozumel is another amazing spot for vacationers. The area offers historical sites and great areas to just relax or play. Cozumel is located off the coast of the Yucatan and has long been a popular choice for scuba divers. Cozumel is famous for having the second largest reef in the world. It features some of the best snorkeling and diving anywhere. You can enjoy sailing and boating as well.

Teotihuacan is located about 50 km northwest of Mexico City.  This amazing archaeological site was originally built in the 1st and 7th centuries and was the biggest city on the continent during that time period. The area is home to the Pyramid of the Sun. The area is filled with history and landscapes you won’t soon forget.


The famous Yucatan Peninsula also gives visitors a taste of history and ancient artifacts. It was home to the dynamic Mayan Civilization and offers many temples and historical sites.

Beach lovers will love Tulum, a white sand beach. There are more Mayan monuments in Palenque and Uxmal to visit. The areas of Cancun and Cozumel are both located on the Yucatan Peninsula. These both offer excellent beaches, water sports and history, heritage and culture.

San Cristobal de Las Casas is far away from the tourist attractions. It is a great place to find shopping, historical monuments, and delicious regional cuisine. The area offers plenty of local attractions and lodging spots. Some locals even rent out their homes to tourists.

Mexico has a number of great golf resorts. Be sure to play the Vista Vallarta by Jack Nicolaus, as it is truly spectacular. There are hundreds of other courses to play as well. Don’t forget to bring your golf clubs as finding a good set to rent can be difficult and costly. The courses along the coast are truly amazing and allow you to combine sightseeing and golf at the same time.
