- What are the qualifications of a Global Guides?
At Global Guides we have everyone from guides who have no formal training, but nonetheless have vast knowledge and enthusiasm for connecting with travelers to guides who have undergone extensive training and passed exams in history, art and culture to become guides. Global Guides are expected to conform to the rules and regulations of the areas in which they are guiding. Please be aware that the rules and regulations governing tour guides vary from country to country. Some places require that guides be licensed through the government and undergo rigorous training. Please note Global Guides are not employees of GlobalGuides.com. They are independent contractors. Global Guides facilitates the meeting of guides and travelers, but ultimately, all arrangements are made between the guide and the traveler.

There is no need to leave your home or office. All necessary steps to become a Global Guide are completed online or through email communication.
- Do I need to take special classes or study to participate in the program
No special classes or training are required to register with Global Guides. However, be sure to include any relevant training and experience in your guide profile when you register. This will help potential clients understand your experience and qualifications and encourage more people to use your services.
- Is it important for me to be proficient in many languages?
People from all over the world will be using the Global Guides website to find tour guides so any language skills you have are useful. List all the languages you are fluent in on the Guide Registration form so this information will appear on your guide profile.
